Just discovered a great resource for all of you who love to go hiking! Linkpendium Kentucky Hiking and Other Outdoor Activities looks to be quite useful.
Each page lists links for various Statewide Resources such as the Kentucky Hiking and Mountain Bike Trails and the Kentucky Backpacker trails.
After that follows listings by each county in Kentucky with High Point Trip Reports and Topo Maps and Aerial Photos, along with other information if applicable. For example, Hardin County also had information listed for Elizabethtown Greenbelt Walking Tours & Parks and the Tioga Falls Hiking Trail.
I will let you know some of the reports are older than others. Then again, these are often areas with little or no change over time.
I provide service for real estate needs and auctioneer services in six counties - Hardin, Breckinridge, Grayson, LaRue, Meade, and Nelson County - and they were all there. From the looks of it, I would guess that every Kentucky County is represented here.
And for those who enjoy combining travel and hiking, the Linkpendium does appear to cover all 50 states plus I spotted Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Guess it's time to get those hiking boots out and enjoy some of the fresh and clean air of our beautiful state of Kentucky!
